Experimentation continues to be a significant part of a system design process. Although simulations have made it possible to reduce experimentation to the last design phases for validation purposes, testing continues to be an irreplaceable part of the process.

Additionally, experiments are not only performed to "verify process limitations", but also to gather input for simulations, which are built based on the results of certain experiments in order to adapt and refine the mathematical model. Therefore, simulations help us to better predict what will happen in said system.

Modal tests are considered to be one of the highest value added tests in the world of dynamics.
Modal tests are used to determine the mass and rigidity of the component or structure in question. Modal testing performed in a laboratory, better known as experimental modal analysis, consists of vibrating the system with a known dynamic force. The input force is compared with the accelerations measured at various points in the system. Then, through a series of post-process operations, the system frequencies are obtained. Knowledge acquired makes it possible to design systems that will avoid the effects of resonance frequencies during operation.

Aresse has a semi-anechoic/anechoic chamber, with an approximately 6 m vault and a lower cutoff frequency of 90 Hz. This chamber is used for acoustic and vibroacoustic experimentation so as to study the acoustic behavior and emission of any type of system.

From vehicle braking systems to appliances, we have ample experience in this type of testing, which we can carry out in accordance with ISO standards or customer specifications.

Currently, Aresse does not have facilities with the hydraulic actuating systems, large bedplates, etc. necessary to perform durability tests. We clearly do not add value by operating as an intermediary, however, because we are knowledgeable of this subject matter and the market, we are equipped to manage this facet of large projects.

Along those lines we do add value, as Aresse prepared to manage complex, multidisciplinary projects centralizing all the processes, designing and assembling every part assuring that everything comes together perfectly and achieving the end goals effectively and efficiently.
