Engineering projects often require measurements that can not be taken in a laboratory, whether because the system to be tested is very large or because it is preferable to study the system under real operating conditions.

We work on site, at the customer's facilities, monitoring the system with sensors and taking the necessary measurements.

We have the equipment, software and know-how necessary to collect any type of physical data. Some examples include:

• Dynamic Measurements: measuring the vibrations of systems excited by a hammer, other instrument or by the own system's operation.
• Extensometric Measurements: measuring deformations in systems in order to determine stresses.
• Acoustic Measurements: measuring sound pressure with microphones in conjunction with accelerometers, tachometers, etc.
• Other typical measurements: temperature, velocity, displacement, force, etc.

We operate in accordance with the current applicable standards (DIN, ISO-EN-UNE, ASME…) and seek efficient solutions to assure that testing in line with the standards does not imply exaggerated costs. We perform pre-certification tests or modify the test constraints within the limits allowed by the standard, assuring that the results are equally valid.

Customer's often want to take measurements for the sake of gathering information on their product, but they are not clear on how the measurements should be taken. At Aresse we can perform an initial engineering study, which permits us to identify the most significant variables, the magnitudes that best represent real system behavior and how these should be measured in order to obtain the greatest wealth of information with the least number of measurements.
Examples of measurements for which methodology must first be developed include establishing end-of-line Pass/No Pass limits or investigating how product transportation affects its final behavior.
